If you are going to buy any food products, be sure they have no allergies (75% of adults have some form of lactose intolerance) or have any specific dietry requirements.

Gadgets always go down well, as they have that initial "ooh" factor - even if they never actually use them.

Whatever you get them, wrap it nicely and provide a card with a personal greeting! This shows effort, which makes up for any poor gift you may have bought.
